My Purpose

To expose locally owned restaurants in Rexburg and surrounding areas.

Why This Site

Information like this can be found in nearly every major city to help residents and visitors make decisions on dining. I think it would be great to have something like this in Rexburg.

A Brief Description

There are many place to eat in Rexburg. While most people are familiar with the chain restaurants (McDonald's, ARBY's, etc., my goal is to better expose locally owned places like Original Thai, Gringo's, and others.

Myself and two friends have dined out at a few of these restaurants, and I will include our reviews on this website.

Domain Name

Unfortunately, I purchased my domain name before I decided to create specific site, so the domain name won't fit the content. However, it will be ok. My domain name is www.rolaveson.com

A Few of My Favorite Sites

• ESPN.com: This is the site I visit most often. It is very well organized, especially considering how much content is on the site. The design and colors are wonderful, except for the blue headings. The light blue color doesn't stand out too well.
• Apple.com: What I love most about Apple is their feel. The color scheme is very inviting, and it makes me feel calm. Everything about it feels simple an useable. That is why I like this site.
• Wikipedia.org: This is strictly an informational site, and it shows. I appreciate it simplicity with design and layout.

Proposed Content

Homepage

The homepage will introduce people to the basic purpose of the site. It will include a sidebar navigation and a picture.

Restaurant-specific Pages

There will be a separate page for each restaurant, and each will include the following:

• Basic information about the restaurant
• A review of the restaurant
• A comments box for people to tell me what they think about the restaurant (if I can figure this one out - it might be a little too advanced).

Comments Page

I will include a page that allows people to email comments to me that we can post on the site that will create a wide variety of feedback from users. This page will be a form for guests to email me, and I will post their comments on the restaurant-specific page.

Required Folders

I will include the required folders, and the root level will be at index.shtml. I'll include the other pages as subpages from the root.
